The Economic Studies Group (ESG) is dedicated to addressing the critical need for a clear understanding of current economic issues.  We inform our audience by providing objective, data-driven analyses of current economic events and policies whether regional, national, or international.  We aim to engage a wide audience through timely research, publications, blog posts and hosted events. Our offerings have included posts on issues such as Federal Reserve policy, bank failures, the Chinese economy and healthcare, and primers that clarify economic and financial terminology, such as real and nominal measures, stocks and flows, and exchange-traded funds. ESG delivers the facts, insights and analysis needed to understand complex economic forces and their impacts on daily life..

Steering Committee

The Economic Studies Group is sponsored by the Advanced Research Collaborative and the Economics Department at the City University of New York, Graduate Center. The group leverages regional, international and national data sources compiled at the Graduate Center for comprehensive policy analysis. These resources collectively provide robust data for informed policy decisions.
